Basic Care Aide Course

This program is designed to help you build on your existing knowledge, providing you with the skills and confidence needed to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients in a variety of healthcare settings.
Modules
  • Life Support for Healthcare Assistance
  • Basic Infection Control
  • Professional Legal and Ethical Healthcare Practice
  • Mobility and Ambulation Assistance
  • Provide Oral Feeding Assistance
  • Patient Care Delivery for Support Care​

Upon completion, graduates will be competent in:

  • Executing life support and emergency response protocols.

  • Applying infection control practices to secure healthcare safety.

  • Adhering to professional, legal, and legal healthcare ethics.

  • Transferring and ambulating patients safely using proper equipment.

  • Managing safe oral feeding and maintaining accurate medical records.

  • Assisting with daily living activities, admissions, and discharges.

Schedule
Full Time, 120 Hours, (6 Hours x 5 Days: 4 Weeks)
- Weekdays (10am to 1pm, 2pm to 5pm)

 

Part Time, 120 Hours, (2 Hours x 5 Days: 8 Weeks)
- Weekdays (730pm to 930pm)

  • Basic Coaching Skills ( 1 Day )​
  • Basic NGT Skills & Care (1 Day )
  • Mobility Assistance & Care ( 1 Day )
  • Basic CPR + AED Knowledge ( 1 Day )
    - Adult / Pediatrics
    - Automated External Defibrillator (AED) 
  • Basic First Aid Knowledge + Skills ( 3 Days )
Short Courses (Certificate of Completion)
  • Basic Infant Care (8 Hours x 5 Days: 40 Hours)
  • Basic Elderly Care (8 Hours x 5 Days: 80 Hours)

Certification

Learners upon achieving 75% of the course will receive a Certificate of Achievement by Lifelight Academy.
